When I say this entire meal & peach cobbler was absolutely delicious. I even called the restaurant to Thank them. I ordered Short Ribs - three sides dressing, yams & greens. O and don't forget the cranberry sauce. Portion size was large. Yummy. So good, man say it twice. So good. Today is Sunday 7/21. And let me tell you I'm pretty picky. I wish I took pictures. Thanks M & M.

My opinion, My Review, IJS.....Omgg I thought the soul food train had moved on since I haven't had great soul food in a while. To my surprise everything was soooo delicious. It was a plate for two, so of course I'm taking some home. If you're in the city of Carson and looking for great food and good service stop by for the Tuesday deal . IJS..The boom.com

Food and service was decent not as great as I've experienced in the past but the restaurant is a nice size, clean, and was conveniently located for soul food in Carson.

Oh Snap, I love me some M And M Soul Food. Usually we eat at our location in Ladera Heights where one of my cousins stay at. But I didn't know that there was one in Carson. So me and my girl stopped here to get some soul food going. I got the Ox Tails with some pork chops and Mac And cheese. Spinach was good too, I usually get the Collad Greens and Mashed Potatoes. NIce waitress and good people working here. I always have to walk out with a doggy bag. The food was so good here. I had not problems.

Food was amazing. We ordered to go because we weren't sure if it was going to be crowded. Upon arrival, lots of parking, and open booths. Ordering was pretty straight forward and wait time to get the food was less than 15 or so minutes. In my opinion, the portions are HUGE. Can't say whether or not the "eat in portion" is the same but we had enough to feed 5 people with the three plates we ordered. So much so, we had enough left overs to feed two people the next day. Had the Fried Chicken, Oxtails, yams, rice and gravy, mashed potatoes and gravy, green string beans, collard greens and corn bread muffins. Everything was seasoned perfectly. I didn't add anything (no salt/pepper/hot sauce). It was simply "plate it and eat it". I will definitely head back to this restaurant next time I'm in town. From what I hear, the deserts are delicious as well.

Ordered takeout here, food was 9/10 in taste and 10/10 in portions. $25 for what basically serves two people. Hell I'm full right now typing this review lol. The catfish was SO crunchy, loved it but was a little salty, and the sides were great as well. Cornbread dressing was an 11/10, so much flavor and great texture! Mac and cheese looked dry at first but once I dug in and took a bite I was really surprised with how cheesy and well seasoned it was. Cornbread was good, baked fresh, nice and moist, and mashed potatoes kind of tasted like they were previously frozen? Kinda lacked flavor but the gravy definitely carried. Service was okay, they were slightly inattentive when I wanted to ask a question and when I was ready to order the guy wasn't listening to me at first, but they weren't necessarily sassy or rude. Wish they showed more interest as another review suggested. Even though I didn't dine in it seemed like a very cozy place for locals, lots of bustling convo, even different tables were talking to each other. They all seemed really happy. I do understand the 3 star rating this place has, it seems like there are a lot of inconsistencies from what I read before coming here so I was a little worried, but thankfully I had a great experience. Would come back to try their oxtails!
